Debra began
painting in watercolors while studying with Artist Corey Staid in
Andover, Massachusetts as a teenager. She studied with a variety of
other artists after moving to California in the late 70's. While
attending Las Positas College in Livermore, California, she painted
primarily in acrylics , receiving a more structured, formal training,
eventually receiving a Degree in Fine Arts, emphasis in painting. Debra
was Director of Visual Arts for a program called "FAME" for the
Livermore Public School system before moving back to New England. She
currently teaches watercolor and multi-media classes at The Currier
Museum Art Center in Manchester, NH. And conducts workshops at East
Colony Fine Art Gallery and Studios also in Manchester, NH.
The WILDLIFE
ART Magazine featured Debra's work in their section titled "Women
Making Magic with Unusual Media" highlighting her collages of Confetti
